Nicolas Prost

After having gone to school in Lausanne (Switzerland), Nicolas Prost went to the USA as a student at Columbia College, New York, in the Economics Department. Nicolas was choosing to go to the United States to study because he thought it would be a great experience. He joined the Columbia golf team called "Columbia Lions". Nicolas won his first collegiate golf tournament in his first attempt at the American University Golf Invitational on March 26 and 27 in year 2001. He was one of the best golfers at Columbia College. His graduation took place on 21st May 2003.

In 2003, he started racing in Formula Campus, following his dad's footsteps! At the beginning of 2003, Nicolas wrote that he doesn't have a lot of experience for racing in Formula Campus, but that he will fight as hard as he can... And he looked pretty good in the races, fighting against drivers, who were already racing since years. He finished the French Formula Campus Championship 2003 on 10th position. - His goal for 2004 was to finish in the top ten in the French Formula Renault Championship! However, the 2004 season didn't exactly go as planned and Nicolas finished the Championship on 18th position. At the end of the year 2004, he also participated two week-ends in the French GT Championship on a Viper for Mirabeau Competition. In Magny-Cours, he started from the front-row, went into the lead and finished the race in fourth position.

In 2005, Nicolas was racing in the French Formula Renault 2.0 Championship for the Graff-Racing team, took part in a World Series Formula Renault 3.5 race for Team Dams at Estoril (Portugal) and drove alongside his father Alain in the French GT Championship. He was pretty successful in the French GT Championship, as he qualified in pole-position both times he took part in it and finshed two times on the podium.

In 2006, Nicolas Prost was racing in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship for the Team Racing Engineering. He won one race and could have won the whole championship with a little more luck.

Nicolas was staying in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship for 2007 with the target to win the championship title this time. However, the beginning of the season didn't exactly go as planned, but he finished the Championship with a win in the last race and on third place in the overall standings.

In 2008, Nicolas was Euroseries 3000 Champion with Team Elk Motorsport and was participating in A1GP as a rookie driver. In 2009, he joined Speedy Racing Team Sebah to compete in the Le Mans Series. With all A1GP races cancelled at the end of 2009, he competed in the Electric Andros Trophy series and became the first ever champion in the electric car racing series. In 2010, Niolas will compete in the Le Mans Series again for team Rebellion, formerly known as Speedy Racing Team Sebah.
